That Moment to Soar

That Moment to Soar

"The condor had many attempts before it could finally fly. It kept looking around at the people, as if the moment where it can fly away was being questioned. As if it needed permission to spread its wings. The music instantly carried me and activated sensations in my body. As I was flowing with the sound, my body thought it knew the exact moment the bird would fly; at the crescendo. But it wasn’t ready yet. It took its time. When it did fly, I felt this feeling rush over, intensified by the people cheering. I noticed a change in me. Since I’ve become more aware of the content I’m watching, I felt myself become an observer of my body and the screen. So although I did feel an elation, I kept thinking about the questions that had sparked in my mind; How far can I fly? What will my flight look like? What really is happening to my body? Is this the power media and sound can have over us? Is that power a good thing? Can I make it a good thing? Is this what I am to do?” - G.V.

And so we question our readiness. We question if we are truly open to leave behind what was confining, limiting, and oppressive. The Condor allowed itself to move and take in the distant vistas that were so empty for all his years of captivity. TIME gifted that moment with soaring splendor.  YES, we too, are to spread our wings and know we are yet capable of flight beyond constrictions lived,,, Spirit ever in the embrace of PRESENCE ... and so we SOAR...
